No, I do not accept any insurance plans. You are welcome to request a superbill, which documents the services that were provided. You can then submit that to your insurance company directly to receive partial reimbursement for the cost of services as long as you have out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance company to learn more about reimbursement options. Please be aware that insurance will not cover the cost of therapy intensives as there are no procedural codes for this service. For this reason, no superbills will be provided.

Absolutely! It’s very important to be sure you feel comfortable with your provider and trust they have the skill set to best serve you. I provide a free 30-minute Meet & Greet session for each new client. This gives us the opportunity to see if we are a good fit, learn about how I can help you and get all of your questions answered about the services I offer. I always provide referrals to other therapists in the area if I feel like I can’t provide you with what you need to effectively meet your goals in therapy.

As a general rule, I like to see my clients weekly for at least the two months. This helps us build rapport, get clear on what you want to get out of therapy, and start making progress towards creating change in your life. I see the majority of my clients on a weekly basis throughout their participation in therapy because it affords them the opportunity to fully reap the benefits of our work together. When you reach a point where weekly therapy sessions no longer feel necessary, we can discuss reducing frequency to every other week, or even once monthly depending on your needs.

The work I offer is highly specialized and grounded in years of advanced, trauma-specific training. Modalities like EMDR, Brainspotting, parts-based work, and nervous system-informed somatic therapy require a significant investment of time, financial resources, and clinical experience to practice ethically and effectively.
My training has spanned hundreds of hours over nearly 15 years and represents a deep commitment to understanding how trauma lives in the body and nervous system…not just in thoughts or memories. This level of specialization allows me to work with complexity, move at the pace that ensures your system feels safe, and support meaningful, lasting transformation rather than surface-level symptom management.
Therapy itself is also an investment for you. It asks for time, emotional energy, and financial resources. I believe it’s important to name this honestly. Financial stability matters. Therapy should never come at the cost of your basic needs or sense of safety. At the same time, investing in your healing can be one of the most impactful decisions you make for your emotional well-being, relationships, and quality of life.
If working with me is not the right fit financially at this time, I truly understand. Choosing a therapist is not just about connection—it’s about sustainability. I encourage you to thoughtfully weigh both the costs and the potential benefits of beginning therapy now, and to explore other options if needed. Your mental health care should feel supportive, not stressful.
You deserve care that honors the complexity of your experiences and the strength it takes to heal. My role is to offer that care with integrity, expertise, and respect for the investment you are making in yourself.

I ask for 24 hours notice when there is a need to cancel a 45 or 90-minute therapy session. The total cost of the session will be imposed if a session is canceled with less than 24 hours of advanced noticed or is no showed. This fee is only waived if we are able to reschedule it within the same week.
EMDR Intensive Cancellation Policy:A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due on Day 1 of the intensive.
By booking the intensive, you have purchased this time and it is yours unless you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to Day 1. You will be charged the total amount of the intensive package if you cancel the intensive within 2 weeks of Day 1.

You most certainly can! I have been providing remote EMDR Therapy since March 2020. You are welcome to use self tapping or an online source (I will provide you) to access bilateral stimulation. Recent research is showing remote EMDR Therapy is just as effective as doing it in person, so as long as you have a safe, private, comfortable place, we can certainly do EMDR Therapy.
Brainspotting has also been proven effective when delivered remotely.
So regardless of where you may be located in Maine, Massachusetts , or DC, you have access to these transformational therapies.

While some therapists consider themselves generalists, other therapists focus their practice on helping one or two different populations or presenting concerns. For example, some might focus on only working with first responders or veterans. Others might only work with children or individuals who struggle with OCD. It’s very helpful for us to find our niche because it allows us to focus our training solely in that area. I have spent the last 13 years immersing myself in trainings and certifications related to trauma recovery and women’s mental health. This supports my ability to confidently and effectively guide my ideal client through their process of meeting and even exceeding their therapeutic goals. I believe everyone seeking and participating in therapy deserves to receive the very best care by a highly skilled therapist, which is why I refer clients out when they do not fall within my scope of practice.
